Goodwill Redwood Empire (Santa Rosa)

A classic thrift store experience: fair prices, but be ready to roll up your sleeves.

Cleanliness · ⭐⭐

Treasure Hunt · ⭐⭐

Price · ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Goodwill is always a tricky one to review because it kind of delivers exactly what it promises. This location had quite a bit of empty shelving and noticeably low-quality home goods, kids’ toys, and kids’ clothing. On the flip side, there are lots of racks—rows and rows of clothing and jeans for men, women, and kids, spanning every brand level imaginable… along with a wide range of cleanliness. Shoes were plentiful too, from barely worn to very much past their prime. Overall, I left underwhelmed—the quality just wasn’t there—but prices were average, and if you have serious time and patience to hunt for the rare gem, this could still be worth a stop.
